About the role
The Director Strategy and Governance is a member of the Executive Management Team, providing high level strategic advice to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive staff to develop organisational excellence in:
- Strategic and operational planning and business improvement initiatives;
- Corporate governance, performance evaluation and reporting;
- Policy development and research, and
- Legal and legislative impacts including risk management.

The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Develop, lead, and manage the staff and activities of the Office of CEO including people, and financial and technology resource requirements.
- Participate as part of the Executive Management Team and build relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of strategic and operational objectives.
- Lead and undertake complex research and analysis to review the effectiveness of policy to achieve the strategic priorities of the WA Museum.
- Lead, manage, develop, and deliver a program of organisational management and performance services for the Museum.
- Represent the Museum on agency and sector-wide working groups and committees including Compliance, Integrity, Work Health and Safety, and Integrity and Policy.
