The Role

The TTO branch is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the rail network across the metropolitan area.  This includes the operation, security, railcar maintenance and management of the urban rail passenger system.

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day handling of customer enquiries, and the processing, research, and management of infringement notices. You will also liaise with external agencies and provide administrative support for the Transit Office.

Ideally, you will have sound knowledge in general administrative procedures, including a good understanding of criminal legislation for the purposes of offence categorisation.  You will also have knowledge of relevant sections of the Public Transport Authority’s Act and Regulations.

Additionally you will be familiar with Transperth’s ticketing and fare system.

The Infringement Office can be a very demanding environment. You will need to be switched on and have assurance in your abilities. Additionally, you will need strong communication skills and a level of diplomacy to speak to members of the public with confidence and respect.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which permanent and fixed term appointments will be made.
