We have an awesome opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 24 years or younger.
Solid Futures provides great traineeships at government agencies in metropolitan Perth and towns and cities across the state.
You’ll get to:
- work in a friendly and supportive team on all sorts of different projects that help our community;
- learn to use computers and office equipment; and
- earn a fortnightly salary while working towards a Certificate III in Government.
When you complete the traineeship, you will graduate and be supported to explore other work opportunities.

Conditions
To apply you must:
- be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
- be 24 years of age or younger
- have achieved a minimum of Year 10 or equivalent
- be committed to working in an office environment in a government agency full time (37.5 hours per week) for 12 months, or 18 months in a part time arrangement (minimum 20 hours a week).
If you are offered a place in the traineeship program, you need to be available to start in February 2023.
All trainees need to obtain a National Police Clearance. The Public Sector Commission will coordinate and pay for this following interviews.

- why you want to be a trainee in the public sector
