About the Role
This is a great opportunity to join an innovative program which will see graduates contributing their skills and ideas to projects across the public sector. Over 12 months, graduates will rotate through three government agencies and develop skills in advanced analytics, geospatial data and data engineering. Following successful completion of the program, graduates will be placed within an agency.
Across three rotations, graduates will have the opportunity to:
- Analyse whole-of-government data to evaluate the holistic impact of programs and interventions (Department of Premier and Cabinet)
- Use geospatial data skills to develop digital twins that will change how we design and plan cities (Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage)
- Produce powerful analytics to improve outcomes for children in care and people experiencing housing stress (Department of Communities)
- Use data in innovative ways to help solve crime and keep the community safe (Western Australia Police Force).

About You
We are seeking talented and motivated individuals with a passion for achieving outcomes to join us.
As part of this role, you will:
- Analyse data to inform and shape outcomes in a number of areas,
- Develop and run data visualisation and reporting tools and infrastructure to provide key insights to a wide audience, and
- Undertake research and draft easy to use guides for a number of technical and non-technical processes.
We are looking for agile and keen learners and we will support you as you upskill. This program is suitable for graduates from a range of academic backgrounds such as data science, statistics, computer science, analytics and geospatial science. You will be joining dynamic teams of dedicated and talented public servants from data, technical, and policy backgrounds who will want you to succeed in your role.

Minimum undergraduate qualification of 3 years or postgraduate qualification of 2 years (Course requirements completed/due to complete between 2019 and 2022) in data science, computer science, geospatial information, and any data or technology related discipline.
