Vacancies

We have one permanent, part time L1 Library Officer position available at 60hrs (0.8FTE) per fortnight, with the possibility of moving to full time, for an immediate start.

There will also be a recruitment pool running for 18 months from the initial appointment. Suitable applicants will be placed in the recruitment pool which may be used to fill future similar vacancies (permanent / fixed term / casual - full time or part time) across the State Library.  

The Role

Library Officers deliver high-quality frontline services and customer experiences. They are the face of the State Library - educating and assisting clients in person and online to access our resources, digital technologies, in-house borrowing and retrieval services.   

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the State Library and contributing to a positive workplace is important in this role. Successful applicants will be committed to sharing ideas, continuous improvement, and being a part of a supportive, dedicated team.

This role works on a rotating roster covering 7 days per week, including evenings and weekends. Shift rates apply.

Pre-Employment Integrity Checks
