The Opportunity

The Department of Finance is looking for innovative Procurement professionals who can deliver quality outcomes on our projects for the WA community.

Our procurement work covers a wide range of interesting and varied activities – from purchasing MRI machines through to sourcing police dogs and items for the Perth Zoo.

Our procurement staff also contribute to the development and management of whole of government contract frameworks, they manage contracts and provide advice to key stakeholders.

What you will need to be successful in the role:

  • Experience in significant and medium to low-risk contract development, contract management, and/or relevant project management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and inclusively to build effective relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to achieve quality procurement outcomes.
  • Excellent written communication skills to inform stakeholders and prepare procurement/technical documents.
  • Demonstrated self-awareness with a values-based, customer-centric and outcomes focused approach.
