The Office of the Auditor General is looking to expand our information systems auditing capacity with fresh minds to analyse systems, identify issues and improve public sector accountability and security.
Information systems auditors scrutinise business processes and analyse entity information systems and technology that holds a variety of sensitive information. Check out some of our recent Information Systems reports.
We are creating a pool of talent to fill full-time, permanent positions and fixed term opportunities. Part time arrangements will also be considered. Successful applicants, not immediately offered a position, may be made offers for similar roles within 6 months of the date of completion of the recruitment process.
Ideal applicants will be able to work autonomously as well as within a team structure, liaising with a diverse range of entities and problem solving. Applicants will have 3 years of experience in any of the following:
- information systems technology and best practices
- network infrastructure
- cloud and IT operations
- information and cybersecurity
- governance, risk and compliance
- analytics
- software and database development.

Information Systems Auditors travel outside of the Perth CBD and to regional locations for extended stays. This includes entering organisations that have mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
The Office conducts employment screening for successful applicants, which will include a national police clearance and may include an Australian Government security clearance if required for the role.
