The Department of Communities brings together the services and functions of disability services, child protection and family support, housing, community initiatives and regional services reform.

Applicants are advised of the recently announced mandatory vaccination policy for a majority of occupations and workforces in Western Australia. From 1 December 2021, Department of Communities (Communities) is impacted by this policy.

In line with the Directions made by the Chief Health Officer (CHO) under the Public Health Act 2016 (WA), to be eligible for appointment to a position within Communities, applicants must provide evidence that they are fully vaccinated (unless a valid medical exemption is granted by the CHO). Fully vaccinated applicants are also required to receive a third dose by 5 February 2022 or within one month of becoming eligible for the third dose.

You may be requested to confirm your vaccination or valid exemption status at any point in this recruitment process.

The Opportunity
As a Quality Manager you will manage the Quality team and be responsible for:

  • Ensuring unit business plans and outcomes are achieved and a quality service is delivered.
  • Liaising with providers and stakeholders within the sector including the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) to ensure National Quality Framework (NQF) objectives are achieved.
  • Providing expert advice on assessment and quality improvement matters.
  • Managing reviews and appeals.
  • Approving, subject to delegated authority, assessments, ratings and applications.
  • Implementing and maintaining an audit and review process to ensure consistency and quality of assessments.
