Dumbleyung Primary School (PS) are seeking a highly-skilled, friendly and positive Manager Corporate Services to join their Administration Support Team.
As the Manager Corporate Services (MCS) the successful applicant will work closely with the Principal to establish and be responsible for the financial, physical and human resource processes of the school to deliver improved outcomes for the school community. The successful applicant will be required to work independently with autonomy. They will oversee the business operations and work collaboratively within a small team, embedding the school culture and promoting excellence. The successful applicant will have flexible communication skills and, as a leader in the school, model exemplary professionalism and commitment to exceptional customer service; maintaining confidentiality at all times and ensuring the community has complete confidence in the school.
The MCS will be responsible for implementing sound, consistent management and budgeting practices and systems in line with Department Policies and Procedures. The successful applicant will foster effective human resource management practices, occupational safety and health procedures and display strategic oversight and effective management of buildings, facilities and assets at the school while providing reception and customer service.
About the school
Dumbleyung Primary School is a small, community-oriented Kindergarten to Year 6 school providing a comprehensive school experience that develops our students social, emotional, physical and academic attributes. Students and staff are well-known to each other and feel a sense of belonging and pride in their school. There is a strong connection with the local community to provide students with a unique and enriched educational experience, relevant to their community.
The town of Dumbleyung is situated 280kms east of Perth. Its nearest towns are Wagin (40km west) and Katanning (50km southwest). Dumbleyung has a population of approximately 500 and is primarily a farming community.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the application of customer service principles and practices.
- Financial management skills, including input into budget preparation and the ability to apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- Human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and systems.
- Ability to implement and monitor business and/or marketing plans.
- Conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
