The Opportunity
The Manager Jobs and Skills Resource Unit leads the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies, resources and initiatives to support the Jobs and Skills Centres. This includes working closely with the Jobs and Skills Centres, TAFE colleges, other areas of the Department and other key stakeholders to identify resource requirements and development needs.
This position ensures that the content on the Jobs and Skills WA website is maintained as the primary customer facing website for all information related to vocational education and training, career development and workforce development in Western Australia. The Manager Jobs and Skills Resource Unit also coordinates the dissemination of shared information and resources to the Jobs and Skills Centre network.
To be successful in this role you will need to possess a Graduate Certificate Career Development or equivalent and ideally have a background in contemporary career development practices and experience as a career development practitioner. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and be able to develop and implement professional development resources to support the career development service provided by the network of Jobs and Skills Centres.

Other Conditions and Eligibility
New employees will be required to obtain a criminal convictions screening clearance by providing a current National Police Certificate prior to their appointment.
To be eligible for appointment applicants must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
This selection process may be used to identify suitable applicants for similar vacancies that arise within the next twelve months. The Department may conduct further search activities after the closing date, if required, to extend the field of applicants.
