About the role
Regional Senior Programs Officer positions are responsible for delivering rehabilitation programs in both prison-based and community settings. The position offers rewarding opportunities to work alongside other colleagues to deliver group-based interventions. Through this work you will be able to assist offenders to address their offending and guide them in developing strategies to adopt law-abiding behaviours and successfully reintegrate into their community.
Eligibility to Apply
Applicants must have:
- A Bachelor Degree in Social Work or a 4-year Degree in Psychology.
- Eligibility for registration with either the Psychologists Registration Board of WA (APHRA) or the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Possession of a Current WA Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector it is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the contract.

About you
The panel is looking for self-motivated, self-aware, resilient employees, with relevant academic backgrounds that support their understanding and ability to learn about offending behaviour and how to facilitate effective group interventions. The position is challenging, requiring your ability to maintain close professional relationships with your colleagues to plan and deliver safe, effective programs in working with offenders.

Open Pool Recruitment
This is an open-ended pool recruitment process which means there is no closing date for applications. We assess candidates on an on-going basis for suitable applicants to be selected to the pool as vacancies arise.
When selected to the pool, the pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise, however an appointment is not guaranteed.
