The Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission (GEDC) is a Western Australian Government agency committed to promoting economic development in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. Regional Development Commissions work in partnership with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development’s (DPIRD), government, industry and the community to deliver economic outcomes in the regions.
This opportunity is a key role located in the iconic Goldfields-Esperance region, in the cosmopolitan City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. This is the largest region in Western Australia stretching from the Great Victoria Desert to the Esperance coastline, with thriving mining and agricultural centres and tourism getaways, and home to the warmest and welcoming of people. There is so much to see and do working in this region.
What will your typical day look like?
This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively within the team at GEDC to develop and implement corporate and regional communications strategies and innovative projects, and supporting the communications requirements of the GEDC. You will be actively contributing to the team to achieve their desired communications outcomes by creating content and facilitating integrated media forums and channels. You will assist the CEO and senior staff with Ministerial Office and inter-agency liaison and information.
