About the role
The role of the Corporate Information Officer is to maintain and support quality corporate Information management services for customers across the college. The role also assists with the administration of the Electronic Document Management System (EDRMS) and provides system training to College staff.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs simple security administration tasks and maintains relevant records and documentation.
- Responds to common requests for service by providing requested information and promptly allocates unresolved calls as appropriate.
- Maintains records, informs users about the process and advises relevant persons of actions taken.
- Assists in providing accessibility, retrievability, security and protection of data in an ethical manner consistent with the College values.
- Assists in database support activities. Installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring and maintenance.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of self-help and user documentation to promote skills development and a culture of self-learning amongst College staff.
- Maintains an awareness of developments in Corporate Information services and changes to Information and Communications Technology.
