About The Role:
The Business and Data Analyst conducts research, analysis and both planned and ad hoc reporting activities to support evidence-based decision making, improve organisational performance and whole of government outcomes.
This role engages with a wide range of internal and external customers to improve and promote the effective management, analysis and reporting of data. Acts as a key interface between business clients and the Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) team through developing and testing against documented business intelligence report specifications.
About You:
You will engage closely with customers to develop a thorough understanding of their business processes, data and reporting requirements, seeking opportunities to add value in the process of documenting formal specifications for business intelligence reports. Working co-operatively within a flexible team structure, you will deliver BI report specifications and test the resulting reports and dashboards. You will be capable of extracting and analysing data from a variety of sources to identify and recommend solutions to data quality issues, or to respond to enquiries from internal and external customers. You will display Finance’s values in your interactions, adopting a customer-centric approach, and focusing on delivering value added outcomes that help customers to make informed, data-driven decisions.
