Nungarin Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of enthusiastic Primary Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year, up to the end of Term 4, 2022.
Suitable applicants will ideally be positive, energetic and innovative with a willingness to build strong relationships with the students, parents and the community. This role will require you to implement effective, innovative and engaging learning programs and you will work collaboratively with staff to apply whole school approaches for curriculum delivery including consistent approaches in literacy and numeracy across the school.
Suitable applicants will ideally utilise effective behaviour management strategies to establish and maintain an organised, orderly and learning-focused classroom. You will also ideally be a reflective teacher who seeks out new opportunities and are focused on your own professional growth.
Nungarin PS is renowned for professional staff and a strong commitment to giving children the best educational start to life. We are a very important part of a close-knit community and an integral part of community activity. Our staff actively engage students in community events and encourage community members to assist in our school. We cater for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. Central to our school's purpose is high quality, explicit learning across all curriculum areas with a strong focus on English and mathematics. Experience with explicit instruction would be highly regarded.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
