Business Services Officer

Why we need you
The Infrastructure Delivery Directorate Business Administration team is seeking one Business Services Officer on a permanent basis and one Business Services Officer on a temporary basis for up to 3 years. The temporary role offers the possibility of extension or a permanent appointment should the role subsequently become vacant. These are key roles within the team and will be responsible for assisting the Business Manager in coordinating business services for the Directorate
The roles will see you undertake a variety of tasks related to business services coordination, financial management and contract administration including, but not limited to provide executive support to the Executive Director and business management support to senior management across the directorate:
These roles will see you provide a range of business support services including, but not limited to:
- coordinating responses to ministerial correspondence, parliamentary questions and preparation of briefing notes
- maintaining and updating information for a variety of reporting;
- review, update and undertake induction, including the co-ordination of new starters
- co-ordinate fleet management per project and co-ordinate all new vehicle requests
- providing daily support for the Executive Director and
- arrange and co-ordinate business meeting and functions including agenda. Minutes and participants
To be successful you will have previous experience in a business support role and be able to demonstrate your well-developed organisational skills and your ability to meet work schedules and deadlines. You will have strong written communication skills, be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and demonstrate previous application of administrative policies, procedures and systems in a business environment.
Your ability to deal with people will be important in this role with a range of stakeholders including, Project Directors, Contractors and a range of internal stakeholders throughout the business.
