Contracts Officer
With a rich history dating back to 1926 and an exciting future ahead, Main Roads Western Australia is the WA State Government agency responsible for managing the State’s road network safely, connecting people and places.
We are one of the largest geographically spread road agencies in the world, responsible for more than 18,500 kilometres of road spread over 2.5 million square kilometres.
Our role is to plan, build and maintain Western Australia’s State Road Network valued at just over $46 billion. We work closely with our portfolio partners, Department of Transport and Public Transport Authority as well as local government to support the needs of all road users
About the Role
The Contracts Officer is part of the Supply and Transport Branch, responsible for procuring goods, works and services conforming to corporate values of equity, accountability, ethical behaviour and value for money.
This role is responsible for:
- assisting with the Main Roads tendering and quotation process
- undertaking purchasing and contract administration, including maintaining the electronic contract administration and purchasing system
- attending to general procurement enquiries
- liaising with contractors, consultants and suppliers on contract administration and procurement matters
About You
We are seeking a professional individual, experienced in contract administration and procurement, including the use of computerised contract administration systems.
Your ability to work well with and build positive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders will see you succeed in this role, along with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Additional Information
