JOB DESCRIPTION: 

This role provides support to the Senior Manager Marketing and Community Services. The role focuses on developing and implementing plans to increase community and stakeholder engagement through effective and accountable marketing, communications, promotional and public events programs and activities.

Key Duties:
1. Assist with leadership and strategic oversight which positions the National Trust for the future;
2. Responsible for increasing community and stakeholder engagement with the National Trust through effective and accountable marketing, communications, promotional and public events programs and activities;
3. Responsible for developing the National Trust's understanding of its stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of programs;
4. Responsible for the design, implementation, analysis and reporting of marketing, communications, volunteer, membership and public programs;
5. Responsible for the budgetary and financial requirements and processes in all areas of responsibilities;
6. Responsible for the content of the National Trust's websites to ensure they are current, dynamic and relevant; and
7. Other duties as directed by the CEO.


SELECTION CRITERIA: 

Essential:

1. Demonstrated experience and competency in marketing, communications and public event program design and implementation;
2. Demonstrated understanding of the role heritage plays in the cultural ecology;
3. Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications and event management;
4. Sound demonstrated information technology skills including the use of MS Office Suite of software and web related technology;
5. Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills;
6. Possession of a C Class licence; and
7. National Police Clearance.

Desirable:

1. Experience in working for a government and/or not-for-profit member-based organisation;
2. Tertiary qualifications and experience in community development; and
3. Experience in working with volunteers.


FOR FURTHER JOB RELATED INFORMATION: 

Following an initial twelve month fixed-term contract with a six month probationary period, subject to satisfactory performance and financial viability, a longer term extension may be offered. Permanency in the future may only be considered subject to Clause 11 of the Premier's Circular 2018/02.
