This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Project Support Officer to join the Infrastructure and Major Projects Division at the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. Suitable applicants will also be placed in a pool for 12 months, an opportunity is available for permanent appointment.

Infrastructure and Major Projects is a Division of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and is responsible for, coordinating the planning and presentation of WA's key infrastructure to underpin economic growth, support job creation and deliver on social and environmental goals.

About the Role

As the Project Support Officer, you will provide administrative and project support to the Executive Manager, within Infrastructure and Major Projects Division, whilst monitoring the progress of confidential and routine information. 

Applicants are required to submit:

  • A current and detailed resume/curriculum vitae; and
  • A written application in no more than two (2) pages addressing the below questions, within the context of the essential work related requirements in the attached Job Description Form (JDF).

    1). In the context of the selection criteria please provide an example of when you have had to prepare correspondence on a sensitive matter relating to a project. Please explain the approach you took and the outcome reached.

    2). Provide details on the types of correspondence and reports that you have prepared, including demonstrating your ability to use the Microsoft Suite and other applications.

    3). Provide an example of how you have actively contributed to achieving an outcome for a project – describe your role and the tasks you undertook.

Suitable applicants will be required to provide:

  • Proof of 100-point identity check (details will be advised after selection).
  • A satisfactory National Police Certificate issued by the Western Australia Police.
