The Finance and Commercial Services Directorate role is to deliver financial and commercial business solutions that support achieving the organisations outcomes to enhance productivity, sustainability, safety and reliability. As part of this Directorate, the Information Management Branches responsibility is to enable business through innovative, agile and reliable Information and Communications Technology Systems and Services.
The Information Management Branch manages a large and complex network that supports over 2000 staff and 300+ applications across the whole state. It delivers ICT Services for the whole organisation with a mix of cloud and on premise technology.
About the Role
As the successful applicant, you will manage, develop and implement Main Roads Information and Communications Technology (ITC) Strategic Plan. You will ensure Main Roads Enterprise Information Technology (IT) Architecture provides for improved decision making, improved adaptability to changing demands and government direction, elimination of inefficient and redundant processes and optimisation of the use of ITC assets. You will also have the responsibility to manage Main Roads’ ICT security requirements.
We are seeking an innovative and dynamic person to lead and manage this team, you will be an integral part of the Information Management Branch Leadership Team providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure establishment, implementation and review of Architecture framework.
You will need to demonstrate extensive skills, knowledge and experience in managing Information and Telecommunication Technology (ICT) enterprise architecture framework and ICT security requirements in a large and complex organisation. Your extensive skill knowledge and experience in managing the development and implementation of ICT strategic and operational plans will be critical to your success in their role.
Your ability to develop positive, professional relationships will be well utilised when engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Self-motivation, initiative and broader facilitation and negotiation skills are also essential for you to perform in this role. The ability to manage employee behaviour, performance and development is also a critical component of this role.
