Appointment Pool
Are you a reflective teacher, dedicated to continuous improvement to advance the progress and development of students in your care?
Kardinya Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of LOTE - Indonesian teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, part-time vacancies which may arise during Term 4, 2019 through to the end of the 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within Term 4, 2019 and the 2020 school year.
We are seeking high quality educators who will deliver whole-school programs that engage students in the process of learning, capturing their interest and desire to learn more. You will be responsible for implementing visible learning practices that involve the provision of learning intentions and success criteria for all lessons. Additionally, you will provide effective feedback to students through formative assessment and negotiate goals that support students to become independent learners.
To be suitable for this role, you will be committed to putting students first in all school based decision-making and this will be reflected in your outstanding, contemporary instruction that will embrace differentiation, consideration of student wellbeing and the capacity to facilitate engaging learning experiences that maximise the integration of different Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools and platforms.
As a teacher at Kardinya PS you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in collaborative teams as part of a professional learning community and strengthen relationships with the broader school community. It is desirable for applicants to have experience in teacher leadership roles including leading whole school curriculum and system initiatives.
Kardinya PS has approximately 300 students enrolled from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school consists of students from diverse backgrounds, reflecting a tapestry of cultures, with 27 different languages recognised as children's first. A focus on all children being successful enables the identification of student's needs with a differentiated curriculum offered to support each child at their point of need and cater for the ‘whole child’.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
