The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) and the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) have come together to create an award-winning interagency graduate program.
About the program
Our 18-month graduate program aims to build the skills, experience and networks required for a successful career in the public sector. A customised rotational plan exposes graduates to a range of opportunities both internal and external to the department. The graduates support team, includes a sponsor, a mentor, a coordinator and fellow graduate buddies who will guide participants through the experience alongside a comprehensive learning and development program. The program concludes with the opportunity for a permanent position. Initial employment is on a fixed term contract with provision for permanent appointment following successful completion of the first twelve months of the program.

About the position

The Corporate Information Management (CIM) Branch of the DMIRS is seeking a recent graduate with a Bachelor degree in Information Management (record management) or Business Information Systems (bachelor degree to be completed in the current or preceding calendar year).
The CIM Branch provides leadership, direction, advice and support to facilitate excellent information management practices, processes and quality systems whilst ensuring compliance with the State Records Act 2000.
In this role you will work closely with the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) and Service Delivery teams to define, review and document business processes including process review, mapping, testing and EDRMS administration driven housekeeping. You will have the opportunity to also influence and set up internal processes that contribute to the development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the CIM branch.
This position is located in Cannington however, you may be required to work at other sites.
