Qualified Librarian (Law)
Role
We are seeking a law librarian with considerable knowledge and experience who can make a significant contribution to the delivery of a high level library and information service to judicial and legal officers and to the legal profession in Western Australia.
This role coordinates and manages the provision of library and information services for the following groups:
- Court and Tribunal Services;
- Legal areas including State Solicitor's Office, Parliamentary Counsel's Office, Solicitor General, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Corruption and Crime Commission and Public Trust Office;
- External legal practitioners
As a member of the Library's senior leadership group you will be responsible for -
- Co-ordinating and managing the provision of library and information services for the above groups;
- Developing and monitoring professional standards across operational areas including reference and research services, collection development, collection maintenance and cataloguing;
- Contributing to the development and implementation of business planning and operational management requirements of the Branch.
Tenure/duration of appointment: This is a permanent, full time position.
Special Requirements
Possession of an appropriate Library qualification recognised for professional membership of the Australian Library & Information Association
