The position
The Customer Information Directorate is seeking a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Business, or an approved equivalent bachelor degree, with a business improvement or corporate communications and marketing focus (bachelor degree to be completed in the current or preceding calendar year).
Within the Service Delivery Group, the Customer Information Directorate is responsible for providing frontline customer service and information that is accurate, convenient and professional to meet the needs of DMIRS stakeholders and customers.
Contributing knowledge and skill in business process improvement you will work with teams delivering a wide range of customer services. You will use your technical skill and creativity to review and improve business processes, documentation and training systems. You will also contribute to the design and implementation of a Knowledge Base that will be used across the Customer Information Directorate to support the development and delivery of in house and online customer services.

Initial employment is on a fixed term contract with provision for permanent appointment following successful completion of the first twelve months. At the end of the program, you will return to a position in the Customer Information Directorate.

- A copy of your academic record and evidence of your Bachelor of Business, or an approved equivalent bachelor degree, with a business improvement or corporate communications and marketing focus (completed in the current or preceding calendar year).
- Your CV including the names and contact details of two referees.
- A cover letter (maximum three pages) which outlines the following:
- Why you are interested in working at the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety and how it fits with your career aspirations; and
- A description of your role in a project (university assignment is ok) that you have undertaken or participated in that demonstrates your research and communication skills.
Please note that completion of a National Police Clearance will form part of the selection process.
