The Government of Western Australia is seeking a high calibre leader for the Office of Digital Government, based in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
The position has whole-of-government responsibility for driving Government’s digital transformation: promoting digital service delivery, fostering data analytics and data sharing, increasing cybersecurity standards and encouraging smarter information technology procurement practices.
The successful candidate will be an effective leader with excellent communication skills, experience in managing change and with a strong customer service focus.
The Office of Digital Government, led by the Government Chief Information Officer and based in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, will leverage its central agency role to drive whole-of-government digital reform including:
- delivery of online services to the Western Australia community;
- implementing higher cybersecurity standards across Government;
- developing policy and strategy to support a culture of data sharing;
- building data analytics capacity within the WA public sector to underpin good policy development and better targeted service delivery; and
- supporting the implementation of information technology procurement reforms across the sector.
The Government Chief Information Officer will work closely with the Minister for Innovation and ICT and Chief Executive Officers to drive innovation with the aim to deliver better and more efficient Government services to the people of Western Australia.
This position is available for immediate filling on a fixed term contract basis for a period up to five years.
