This is a permanent part-time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2018
Chapman Valley Primary School (PS) is seeking a passionate and committed teacher to join their committed and dedicated teaching and learning team.
The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a collaborative environment, have a high level of interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to professional learning and willingness to share with others. The ability to differentiate the curriculum and utilise instructional strategies to maximize student learning and engagement in their learning is required. Knowledge and implementation of current educational research and practice in literacy and numeracy as well as the use of ICT and Digital Technologies.
As the successful applicant you will be required to support the school’s Whole school Planning and demonstrate a willingness to take on additional roles within the school and support the positive school culture that focuses on collaboration and classroom observation through Professional Learning Teams.
Chapman Valley PS is located in the hills of Nabawa, 453km North-East of Perth and 40km North-East of Geraldton, belonging to the Mid-West Education region.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
