Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to join the Western Australian Museum as the Coordinator Exhibitions Projects within a newly created team specialising in projects for several directorates across our organisation.

As the Coordinator Exhibitions Projects you will undertake the delivery of specific exhibitions and public program projects using the exhibition development process. You will also be involved with the maintenance and improvement of project management standards within the Creative and Regional Directorate.

Specific responsibilities may include (but not limited to):

  • Provide project leadership and/or support to specific projects related to the end-to-end process of exhibition development and delivery.
  • Ensure effective analysis and translation of curator and stakeholder requirements.
  • Provide capacity for co-curation of exhibitions and projects with external communities.
  • Establish and maintain Projects Registrations and Reporting System to monitor progress.
  • Provide project advice and learning support to Directorate team members.

Location
This position will be primarily located at the Museum’s Research and Collections facility at 49 Kew Street, Welshpool but will be required to operate from other Museum sites, such as the Maritime Museum, Fremantle from time to time or as project demands dictate.

Conditions
This is for two (2) full time permanent vacancies. There will also be a pool running for a period of 18 months from the initial appointment. Applicants deemed suitable will be placed into a pool where appointments to similar vacancies for full time, part-time, fixed term and permanency may be considered.
