The State Library of Western Australia seeks to treasure the stories of Western Australia, champion literacy and learning, cultivate creative ideas and lead the development of the Western Australian public library network.
Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent vacancy. There will also be a Pool running for a period of 12 months from the initial appointment. Applicants deemed suitable will be placed into a pool from which full-time, part-time, casual, fixed term or permanent appointments may be made.
The Library is subject to a 7 day rotating roster including weekends and evenings.
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department of Culture and the Arts Police Record Screening Policy.
Location
This position is located in the State Library of Western Australia in central Perth within the Cultural Centre hub close to the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.
Job Description
This position assists and supports the operations of the Client Services team, including responding to client enquiries and providing technical support through various service points. The position also assists in the provision of support to clients and staff in accessing online resources and services, and facilitating sessions which connect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and communities to heritage resources.
