We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Glendale Primary School caters for children from Kindergarten to Year 6 and are a school of choice for parents.

The Role

Suitable applicants should display the capacity to work within a collaborative professional learning community. They would engage purposefully in collaborative planning, professional dialogue and moderation, recognising that collective responsibility and shared expertise strengthen outcomes for all students.

Suitable applicants will also ideally possess a strong instructional skill set and an understanding of effective lesson design consistent with the Department of Education’s Teaching for Impact approach. They would select and apply teaching practices that make learning visible and purposeful, including the effective use of learning intentions and success criteria. Through checks for understanding, feedback and reflection, they will help students understand what they are learning, how successfully they are learning and what they need to do next.

Suitable applicants should use student learning data to identify needs, inform teaching programs and evaluate the impact of their practice. They should also understand the complementary purposes of formative and summative assessment, using assessment evidence to monitor progress, adapt instruction and make informed judgements about student achievement.
