The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally be committed, professional and collaborative educators who are eager to contribute to our progressive, welcoming and diverse learning community. As a proud Department of Education Centre of Excellence Intern School, Gosnells PS is recognised for its commitment to exemplary teaching practice, innovation and continuous improvement. Our staff work collaboratively to develop, refine and showcase evidence-based approaches that improve student outcomes while contributing to system-wide excellence. Suitable applicants will ideally embrace a culture of professional inquiry and be enthusiastic contributors to a highly collaborative team that values shared expertise, reflection and continuous growth.
Suitable applicants will ideally display expertise in implementing a broad repertoire of high-impact teaching strategies, including explicit instruction, cooperative learning, formative assessment, effective feedback and reflective teaching practices. They will ideally possess outstanding classroom management skills underpinned by restorative practices and a commitment to fostering positive, respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues.

Teachers with strong curriculum knowledge, refined pedagogical expertise and professional confidence inspire curiosity, foster a love of learning and maximise student achievement and growth. Suitable applicants will ideally display high expectations for every learner and effectively utilise differentiation, data analysis and targeted intervention to meet the diverse needs of students. Our teachers are committed to ongoing professional growth aligned with the school's Business Plan, whole-school pedagogical framework and continuous improvement agenda. We value educators who actively engage in coaching, mentoring, observation and feedback, recognising these as desirable components of professional excellence. Given our culturally and linguistically diverse community, including a significant number of students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D), experience and expertise in supporting EAL/D learners will be highly regarded.
Staff are empowered to pursue areas of passion and leadership through distributed leadership opportunities, instructional coaching, mentoring, Centre of Excellence initiatives and phase-of-learning teams.
