The Role
We are seeking enthusiastic, reflective and collaborative teachers who are committed to creating inclusive, engaging and responsive learning environments where every student is supported to thrive. Suitable applicants will ideally display a strong understanding of evidence-informed teaching practices and use explicit instruction, structured lesson design, effective classroom routines and high-impact engagement strategies to maximise student learning.
Applicants should be skilled in planning and delivering differentiated learning experiences that respond to the diverse strengths, interests and learning needs of students. They should use assessment data and student voice to inform teaching, maintain high expectations and provide appropriate support and challenge so that every learner experiences success.
Our school values collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement. Suitable applicants should contribute positively to our Professional Learning Communities, embrace opportunities to lead and learn alongside colleagues, and actively contribute to the broader school community.
As a member of our team, you would work collaboratively to implement our evidence-informed whole-school approaches, including Visible Learning, Positive Behaviour Support, Trauma-Informed Practice, Structured Literacy and Systematic Synthetic Phonics, Talk for Writing, explicit and evidence-based Mathematics instruction and Paul Swan Mathematics resources. A commitment to ongoing professional learning, collaborative planning and using student achievement data to inform teaching and improve outcomes is highly desirable.
At Eden Hill PS, we value educators who understand that strong, respectful relationships with students and families form the foundation of successful learning. Suitable applicants should display a commitment to recognising each student's strengths, identity, culture and developmental pathway, creating learning environments where students feel safe, valued, connected and empowered to participate. Experience in, or a willingness to develop knowledge of, trauma-informed, culturally responsive and neuro-affirming practices will be highly regarded.
