We are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Winterfold Primary School (PS) is a school with a strong community focus and is situated in Beaconsfield, southeast of Fremantle. We are located just south of Fremantle College and Challenger TAFE.

As an Independent Public School, our staff and community are committed to using our increased flexibilities to further enhance the learning needs of our diverse student population. These flexibilities include the ability to select our own staff, employ specialists to address student learning needs, and develop our own policies and procedures.

Winterfold PS has a strong focus on Literacy, Numeracy and Science; teachers plan specifically to cater for all learning needs. The school has a very stable and highly skilled staff, where ongoing collaborative planning is the norm. The leadership structure is very flat with most staff taking on leadership roles. This support enables the school to further enrich the learning opportunities as well as ensuring inclusivity.

The Role

At Winterfold PS, we are ideally seeking enthusiastic, reflective and highly effective primary teachers across K-6 who are committed to ensuring every student achieves success. Suitable applicants should display a strong understanding of evidence-based practice, particularly explicit teaching in literacy and numeracy, and a commitment to using daily review and retrieval strategies as a foundation of every lesson to strengthen student learning and retention.

We are looking for educators who ideally use data to inform targeted teaching, maintain high expectations for all learners, and create engaging, inclusive learning environments where students feel connected, challenged and supported. Teachers at Winterfold PS should be collaborative team members who actively contribute to whole-school improvement, value strong partnerships with families and the wider community, and embrace a culture of continuous professional growth.

As a Department of Education Centre for Excellence school, Winterfold PS offers exceptional opportunities for professional learning, coaching and leadership development. We value educators who are eager to lead initiatives, contribute to distributed leadership structures and help shape the future direction of our school. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing school recognised for its positive culture, strong community connections and unwavering focus on improving outcomes for every student.
