The School

Yanchep Beach Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School located approximately 60 kilometers north of Perth, catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Since opening in 2014 with an enrolment of 319 students, the school has experienced significant growth and now supports a vibrant community of just over 600 students. Enrolments are drawn from within the school’s Local Intake Area and are expected to remain stable in the coming years. The Role

We are seeking high-quality K-6 teachers who display exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine ability to build strong, respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues. At Yanchep Beach PS, we recognise that relationships are central to student success, and we prioritise the development of safe, inclusive and supportive learning environments where every child can thrive.

Suitable applicants ideally would be able to establish positive classroom cultures underpinned by high expectations and a strong focus on both academic achievement and social-emotional development. Teachers should display a commitment to fostering a growth mindset in students, while supporting their wellbeing through trauma informed approaches. Teachers within the school also have strong behavior management skills, aligned to the principles of the Classroom Management Strategies (CMS) program, with a plan in place for all staff to complete this training.

Staff work closely together to ensure the consistent delivery of whole-school programs such as Talk for Writing, Sounds Write, Word Origins and Top Ten Mathematics to maximise student outcomes and maintain a cohesive approach to teaching and learning across the school.
