The School
Walliston Primary School (PS) is a local school, nestled in a bushland setting at one of the highest points in the hills, east of the city of Perth. Our school motto “Aim High” refers not only to our geographical location, but to the expectations we place upon ourselves as educators and our expectations of our students.
At Walliston PS, we are proud to be a connected, inclusive and future-focused learning community where every child is known, valued and supported to thrive. Our commitment extends beyond academic achievement to developing the whole child; academically, culturally, socially and emotionally.
The Walliston Way brings this commitment to life. Through high-quality teaching, engaging learning experiences, strong relationships and a genuine sense of belonging, we seek to develop creative, confident, capable and connected young people who are ready to contribute positively to their community and the world around them.
At Walliston PS, we are united by a shared commitment to creating an environment where every child is known, valued and supported to learn, grow and thrive.

The Role
We are ideally seeking enthusiastic and highly effective Early Childhood, Junior and Senior Primary teachers who are committed to achieving positive outcomes for every student. At the conclusion of this process, the school intends to appoint suitable applicants to both permanent and fixed-term positions. Suitable applicants will ideally be relational, reflective and collaborative educators who build genuine connections with students, colleagues and families and contribute positively to our school community.
At Walliston PS, high-quality teaching is underpinned by strong relationships, high expectations and evidence-informed practice. Applicants should display strong curriculum and pedagogical knowledge, using explicit and responsive teaching alongside purposeful opportunities for inquiry, problem solving and student agency. They should be able to use assessment and student data to inform differentiated, challenging and engaging learning experiences aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.
We are seeking teachers who should actively contribute to The Walliston Way, our whole-school approaches and our culture of continuous improvement. Applicants should be committed to professional growth, collaborative practice and shared responsibility for student success and wellbeing.
