The Role

The successful applicant will ideally show the professional knowledge, practices and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school English curriculum. As part of this role, you should display strong understanding of evidence-based, high impact teaching and learning strategies to engage and build productive working relationships with students to ensure high progress and be involved collaboratively with your colleagues to improve student results.

The successful applicant will ideally be highly self-reflective and use student performance data to plan and implement effective teaching and learning plans. Applicants will ideally provide excellence in creating and maintaining supportive and safe learning environment and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential.

With effective interpersonal skills, suitable applicants will work closely with students, colleagues and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students. The successful applicant should have high expectations, exhibit a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. Ideally, the successful applicant would be flexible and adaptive and able to successfully apply strategies of differentiated instruction and assessment.

We encourage applications from graduate teachers who are passionate about making a positive impact on student learning. Experience in teaching ATAR would be desirable.
