Take ownership of a critical business function by leading records, archiving and digital information services in an organisation where your expertise helps deliver equitable access to justice for all Western Australians.
About the role
As the Service Lead – Records Systems and Archiving, you will lead the Information Records Services Unit and play a pivotal role in ensuring Legal Aid WA's records and information management practices are compliant, contemporary and fit for the future. You will provide expert leadership across digital and physical records management, archiving, and information governance while overseeing the administration and continuous improvement of our OpenText Content Management System (CMS). Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will develop innovative solutions, optimise business processes, strengthen information security and accessibility, and ensure compliance with legislative and operational requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to influence organisational best practice, lead a dedicated team, and contribute to the effective delivery of legal services that make a genuine difference to the Western Australian community.
About you
You are an experienced records and information management professional with a strong understanding of contemporary records governance, archiving frameworks and enterprise content management systems. A collaborative and engaging leader, you enjoy building productive relationships, mentoring teams and working with stakeholders to deliver practical, customer-focused solutions. You bring well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to balance operational priorities with strategic initiatives. Ideally, you have experience administering OpenText or similar enterprise records management platforms and a sound understanding of legislative compliance requirements. Most importantly, you are motivated by meaningful work and share Legal Aid WA's commitment to integrity, innovation, collaboration and improving access to justice for all Western Australians.
