The Role
The Senior Risk Officer will be responsible for the development, application and monitoring of the Training Accreditation Council (TAC or the Council) risk management frameworks including the strategic TAC risk register and the operational risk profiling systems and undertakes analysis of risk data incorporating industry advice, intelligence reports, system and audit data, and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) data to identify emerging and current risks to the quality of VET and inform regulatory responses.

Working with the Principal Consultant Risk and Information, you will strengthen and monitor the TAC risk management frameworks and risk profiling system including the development and review of risk analysis and reporting products that incorporate data sources such as quality indicators and VET data streamlining. The position provides strategic advice to the Director Training Regulation and the Council on areas of risk, risk systems, compliance matters, and opportunities for improvement.

Key projects this position will be working on include the development and review of a risk profiling system that can be adapted to meet TAC’s strategic priorities and any identified and/or potential risks.
