This is a fixed term, full time vacancy available for up to twenty four (24) months with the possibility of extension, subject to business requirements and Commonwealth funding.

About the role
The Counter-Terrorism Intelligence and Coordination (CTIC) team work as part of the multi-disciplinary Countering Violence & Extremism (CVE) Services, under the Commonwealth-funded National Support and Intervention Program guidelines. CTIC undertake efforts to support CVE initiatives and activities, in support of rehabilitation and reintegration, and community safety aims.
The Senior Intelligence Officer CTIC undertakes complex and specialised intelligence assessments to support decision making around violent extremism threats; works collaboratively and productively with a range of internal and external stakeholders; and supports capability building across the department in education and awareness around CVE.
As a Senior Intelligence Officer, you will work effectively with a broad network of internal and external stakeholders, to inform tactical, operational and strategic decision-making; and apply your intelligence expertise to meaningful work that contributes directly to community safety and the integrity of the Corrective Services system.

Eligibility
It is a requirement that the position holder is successful in obtaining and maintaining a Negative Vetting Level One security clearance for the duration of their appointment in the position. Only Australian Citizens are eligible to hold the Negative Vetting Level One security clearance.
The position holder must possess a current valid motor vehicle driving licence and may be required for travel intrastate and/or interstate for operational purposes.
