About the Roles

Senior Cyber Security Tester (Level 6)

Salary package: $124,673 to $137,399 per annum and an attraction and retention incentive (ARI) of up to $19,912 per annum till 25 January 2029.

There is a current vacancy in the role of Senior Cyber Security Tester. This role supports the Cyber Security Unit (CSU) to deliver WA Government’s digital transformation priorities. Responsible for performing penetration testing activities and technical security assessments of systems, networks and applications across the WA Public Sector to identify, validate and report security vulnerabilities.

This role will suit an experienced tester who is passionate about their work, enjoys working in a diverse team and supports the CSU’s goal of providing expert cyber security advice and services. The suitable applicant will spend their days identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities. You’ll be a subject matter expert providing remediation advice to enable the safe and secure delivery of WA Government digital services, supporting the Digital Strategy for the Western Australian Government.

Cyber Security Tester (Level 5)

Salary package: $108,848 to $118,961 per annum.

The immediate vacancy is for a Senior Cyber Security Tester (Level 6) but due to recent growth in the Cyber Security Unit future opportunities for Cyber Security Testers (Level 5) are anticipated.  This role works with internal and external stakeholders to execute the security testing program. Contributing to policy development and project to delivery. The suitable applicant will be involved in penetration testing activities including analyses, creating test cases and executing offensive security testing.
