As a Road Crews Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the infrastructure of a community that’s as dynamic as it is picturesque.

Why we need you

Main Roads Western Australia is seeking an experienced Road Crews Supervisor to join our road maintenance team in Albany, WA. You’ll oversee road construction and road maintenance, ensuring works meet technical standards and safety requirements. This role offers the chance to manage diverse projects, supervise crews, and make a genuine impact on the Greater Southern transport network while enjoying the benefits of regional WA living.

To be successful in this role, you will tick the boxes below:

• Have experience supervising and coordinating road crews to safely deliver road construction and maintenance works.
• Possess strong practical knowledge of road maintenance practices, pavement construction, rehabilitation, bituminous surfacing and asphalting.
• Demonstrate the ability to guide crews in the safe and effective use of plant, equipment and tools.
• Maintain a strong commitment to Work Health and Safety, including implementing traffic management and safe work practices on site.
• Build effective working relationships with crews, contractors and stakeholders through clear communication and leadership.
• Be able to meet the essential requirements of the role, including after hours on-call duties, undertaking regional travel with overnight stays, and working night shifts when required (overtime and allowances will be compensated on top of your base salary).

Competitive salary of MRWA EBA Level 5: $122,525 - $143,353 per annum (inclusive of base rate and paid commuted overtime) + 12% Superannuation on top.

• Additional applicable oncall, overtime and living away from home allowances to boost your annual earnings on top of your yearly salary
• Annual Leave Loading of 17.5% is paid in December each year.
• Paid Commuted Overtime of 9% on top of your annual salary, based on additional 2 hours 30 minutes per week
• Receive an annual hot water subsidy of up to $1,213 per year, dependant on the hot water system.
• Relocation assistance if required - Correct

• Pavement construction, bituminous surfacing and asphalting processes and techniques
• Considerable experience in worksite supervision, including the supervision of employee behaviour, performance and development
• Experience in interpretation of technical documentation and drawings, including from electronic devices
