About the Opportunity

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will:

  • Provide high-quality medical imaging services in accordance with clinical standards and patient care requirements.
  • Promote patient safety and quality of care in all aspects of your practice.
  • Practice in accordance with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia’s Code of Conduct and Registration Standards, as well as relevant organisational policies and guidelines.
  • Contribute to a 24/7 imaging service supporting high-quality patient outcomes.

About You

You are a qualified Medical Imaging Technologist who:

  • Is eligible for registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia and licensing with the Radiological Council of WA.
  • Demonstrates sound clinical knowledge in radiographic techniques and imaging principles.
  • Works effectively across routine and varied clinical settings, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Manages workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person.
  • Builds positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Works collaboratively as part of a team and contributes to a positive workplace culture.
  • Applies relevant legislative and policy frameworks, including equity, disability access, and occupational safety and health in daily practice.

Our Hospitals

Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) is Perth’s inner-city tertiary adult hospital, providing specialist medical services, emergency care, major trauma, complex surgery, and mental health services. As the State Major Adult Trauma Service, it also plays a key role in teaching, training, and research.

RPH is part of East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS), alongside Bentley Health Service (sub-acute care, rehabilitation, and community services) and Mount Lawley Hospital (specialist mental health care). Together, EMHS delivers integrated, person-centred care across the metropolitan area, supporting diverse communities through coordinated clinical services, education, and research.

RPH Radiology Department

RPH Radiology Department is the largest and longest established tertiary public hospital Radiology department in Perth is linked with the other tertiary hospitals via a sophisticated archiving and communications system with full digital picture capacity.

The service is divided into sub-specialised teams based on general and neurological intervention, ultrasound, abdominal and body, musculoskeletal, women’s imaging and neuroradiology. A 24-hour inpatient / Emergency Department service is also provided.

Imaging studies undertaken at RPH include Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound, X-Ray, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography and Interventional Procedures
