This is a Permanent Part Time appointment at 24 hours per fortnight.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
Position Profile: The Medical Advisor provides leadership and clinical governance in running the Statewide Telestroke Service. The role includes development of policies, programs and best practice guidelines across acute delivery of stroke care and continuing care clinical interventions to ensure consistent, equitable and quality outcomes are achieved. Other key responsibilities include development and implementation of Statewide stroke treatment protocols and clinical pathways for virtual service models in stroke, fostering strong clinical partnerships and linkages with key stakeholders.

Selection Criteria: Please see the attached Job Description Form (available online at www.jobs.health.wa.gov.au). Please note that applicant must be registered with AHPRA as a specialist consultant neurologist, or consultant physician or geriatrician with specialty in stroke medicine, and currently working as a WA Statewide Telestroke Consultant, with a minimum of 12 months on the service.
