About the Role

Main Roads is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager Project Development to work in their Metropolitan Region to lead the development, and early delivery phase of critical road infrastructure projects across the metropolitan road and principal shared path network.

In this leadership role, you will oversee a portfolio of complex and high-value projects, ensuring they are strategically planned, well-scoped, and ready for successful delivery. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and industry partners to shape the future of Western Australia’s transport network.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be able to:

  • Lead the development and prioritisation of metropolitan roads and principal shared path infrastructure projects from concept through to delivery readiness.
  • Mange multi-disciplinary teams responsible for planning, design development, approvals, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure projects are aligned to strategic objectives, funding requirements, and community expectations.
  • Drive risk management, cost estimation, and scheduling for project development phases.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including local government, state agencies, consultants and contractors.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and direction to project development teams to ensure high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, environmental and regulatory frameworks.
  • Monitor and report on project development progress, performance, outcomes and key milestones. essential, as will your commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and achieving strategic organisational objectives.
