For more than 30 years Healthway has been providing grant funding to sport, arts and racing organisations, community activities, and to health promotion projects and research. Healthway’s vision is for a ‘healthy and more active Western Australia’ and it is the only State Government agency dedicated to health promotion.
Lotterywest is the employing agency for Healthway and is the only State Government owned and operated lottery in Australia, where all the available profit is returned to Western Australians through community and statutory grants. Are you passionate about creating healthier, more connected communities across Western Australia? Healthway is seeking a Manager Health Promotion Partnerships to lead the team and support strategic partnerships and initiatives.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Health Promotion Partnerships, this role is one of three positions which contribute to the leadership of the Partnerships Team. They ensure quality partnership experiences and lead the business processes and functions necessary for effective management of the team.
This role has the following key areas of focus:
- Contributing to the management of the Healthway Healthy Partnerships Program and other funding programs as directed.
- Providing leadership and management to direct report/s.
- Managing health promotion projects and funding initiatives, applications, assessments and activations.
- Supporting the management of team finances and outcomes/evaluation reporting, reviews, analysis and approvals.
- Managing stakeholder relationships and networks.
- Managing process integrity.
- Contributing to the overall work of Healthway.
- Providing advice and information to potential partners and relevant stakeholders.
- Leading and collaborating on health promotion projects and funding initiatives and partnerships.
- Applying health promotion policy and practice.
In this role you may undertake after hours/weekend work/regional travel with overnight stay as required and as such a current C Class drivers’ licence is required.
We’re looking for
- A strategic thinker with health promotion and community development experience with exposure to grant making/funding programs or similar
- A Tertiary qualification in health promotion or a health-related area/behavioural science (or appropriate equivalent post graduate qualification) and/or 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- A natural leader who can coach, guide and support a team
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with a broad range of stakeholders and prepare briefings, recommendations and reports
