Darling Range Sports College is a highly successful comprehensive Independent Public School with a student population of around 1,200 and over 130 teaching and support staff. Darling Range Sports College first opened in 1975 as Forrestfield Senior High School and later transitioned to a sports college in 2008. It is unique in Western Australia as the only sports college in the state.

As an Independent Public School, we provide specialist sporting programs in AFL/AFLW, Athletics, Baseball, Basketball, Netball, Rugby League, Soccer and Swimming. Our teams train and play in our state of the art facilities where athletes also have access to the strength and conditioning centre. These specialist sporting programs allow our students to work with elite, national and international level coaches and some of the programs provide students with the opportunity to travel interstate and internationally to compete in sporting competitions. The College also hosts national and international sporting teams.

The Role

As the Manager Corporate Services, your central responsibility is to provide comprehensive oversight of the school's critical components, namely financial, physical, and human resources. In this role, you play a key role in ensuring the efficient functioning of the school's operations. This involves supervising school support staff, guiding them in the meticulous administration of tasks related to financial management, asset maintenance, and human resource coordination. Your adept management ensures that the school's financial operations adhere to established standards and contribute to the overall success of the institution.

A core aspect of your role is to administer and report on the financial integrity of the school's business operations. This includes offering valuable input into financial planning and budgeting, where your insights play a role in ensuring the fiscal health of the school. Your strategic involvement in the development of Business and Marketing Plans, in collaboration with the Principal and the Executive Management Team, underscores your commitment to the school's long-term objectives.

Additionally, you’ll actively monitor the school's financial performance against these plans, emphasizing a proactive and results-driven approach to financial management. Beyond the financial realm, your responsibilities extend to participating in committees and working groups, ensuring that your strategies align with both school-based and regional business targets, contributing to the broader success of the school.
