This is a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) position commencing Term 4, 2026

The Role
In this role, the successful applicant will play a key part in creating a welcoming, inclusive and engaging library that inspires a love of reading, supports student learning and promotes curiosity across the school community. They will supervise the day-to-day operations of the library, delivering high-quality information, reference and library services that meet the needs of students, staff and families.
The successful applicant will ideally be a customer-focused and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children and building positive relationships. They will assist students and staff to access age-appropriate resources, provide guidance in the use of library technologies and equipment, deliver library skills instruction, and help create a vibrant library environment through engaging displays, resource promotion and activities that encourage reading and lifelong learning.
The role includes managing library systems to ensure accurate cataloguing, archiving and maintenance of library records, processing new resources, coordinating library visits, monitoring the library budget and making recommendations for new resources that support the curriculum and foster a culture of reading.
The successful applicant will also provide administrative support to the school as required, including assisting in the front office on occasion, as well as maintaining databases and preparing communications, while supervising support staff or volunteers where appropriate. They will work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school community to ensure the library is a dynamic learning space that encourages exploration, creativity and a lifelong appreciation of literature.
