Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of ICT professionals? North Regional TAFE (NR TAFE) is looking for experienced and innovative individuals to join our team as a Lecturer in Information & Communication Technology. This is a permanent full-time position based at our Broome Campus.
As the Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering training and assessment for Certificate II in Applied Digital Technologies Certificate III in Information Technology, Certificate IV in Information Technology and other related ICT Industry Training Package this includes both theory and practical learning activities.
As a lecturer at NR TAFE, you would be focussed on teaching, facilitating learning, assessing and mentoring students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. You will also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery. In order to maintain quality educational services, you are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.
Relevant Qualifications and Experience
To be eligible for employment, you must have:
- Significant relevant industry/ vocational or lecturing experience (at least 5 years’ experience in ICT)
- Relevant vocation qualifications and/or competencies at least to the level to be delivered and assessed including:
- Certificate IV in Information Technology
- Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, TAE40110), or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024) in line with the Registration Standards 2025. Applicants who do not yet hold the required VET qualification may still apply; however, the successful candidate must enrol in an approved training and assessment qualification and complete it within two years of commencing.
If you have experience delivering relevant and engaging training in a classroom and workplace settings to a diverse range of students, sound verbal and written communication skills, good administration skills including using Microsoft Office products and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team we want to hear from you!
