About the position
The Head of Exhibition Production and Delivery (HoEPD) develops and executes strategies to implement the Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA)’s Artistic Program as established by the Director and Chief Curator. 

Under Public Sector guidelines, the HoEPD leads the Exhibitions team in costing, scoping, and setting up temporary exhibitions and collection displays. The HoEPD also ensures cross-team collaboration and alignment to meet artistic and budget goals, maintaining compliance with AGWA’s creative vision.

• We currently have 1 x 24-month fixed term, full-time (1.0 FTE) position available for immediate filling, with possible extension and/or permanency

Location
This position is located in central Perth within the Cultural Centre hub close to the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.

• A three (3) page statement addressing the following selection criteria as outlined in the attached JDF: 

1. Significant senior experience in large-scale productions. This could include major events, media production, fine art exhibition delivery, performances or complex multi-site cultural presentation
2. Demonstrated success leading, developing and empowering multidisciplinary teams, contractors and suppliers
3. Strong financial management capability, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
4. Strong knowledge of WHS, risk management and compliance in public-facing production environments

Pre-employment Conditions
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must be an Australian citizen, have permanent resident status in Australia or have a visa that allows you to live and work in Australia for the period of your employment contract.

Successful applicants will be required to complete the below prior to commencement:

• A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within AGWA and the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period of time. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process.
