The Finance and Procurement Services Directorate supports DTMI through financial governance, corporate resource allocation, procurement services, budget management, financial systems administration and strategic financial advice.

The Opportunity

The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) establishing a pool of suitably experienced Financial Systems Support Officers and Financial Systems Analysts to fill current and future vacancies within the Finance and Procurement department supporting the ongoing development, maintenance and enhancement of our financial systems.

There are currently two opportunities available:

• One (1) Level 4 fixed term position with the possibility of extension / permanency
• One (1) Level 5 fixed term position with the possibility of extension / permanency

As a Financial System Officer Level 4 you will:

• Support the Oracle Financial system and help resolve system issues.
• Maintain and improve financial systems, processes and user guides.
• Assist with financial and management reporting.
• Undertake system testing in line with agreed plans.
• Provide helpdesk support and respond to user enquiries.
• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve processing and system issues.
• Contribute practical solutions and support continuous improvement.

As a Financial Systems Analyst Level 5 you will:

• Support the development, maintenance and enhancement of financial systems.
• Assist with financial system administration tasks.
• Analyse and resolve issues in complex corporate systems.
• Assist with financial systems projects and improvements.
• Prepare and support system testing activities.
• Develop financial and management reports.
• Document policies, procedures and business processes.
• Work with stakeholders on system support and project implementation.
• Contribute to team goals and deliver quality customer service.

A current national police clearance certificate incorporating criminal and traffic convictions and infringements is required for this position.

Pool information

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made for this or similar future vacancies, fixed term or permanent, full-time or part-time, that arise within the next twelve (12) months from the date of first appointment across the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure.

Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain a current National Police Clearance prior to commencement.

(SC-A) Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the implementation and support of a corporate financial management system such as Oracle EBusiness Suite or a corporate business system.

(SC-B) Proven research, analytical and conceptual skills and abilities in providing solutions and resolving issues in a large and complex corporate finance or business system.

(SC-C) Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders in various contexts
