As the Finance and Business Officer, you'll work alongside Executive Directors, Directors and Senior Managers to provide trusted financial and business advice that helps shape service delivery. You'll be responsible for developing and managing budgets, analysing financial and activity performance, preparing business cases and business plans, and delivering insightful reporting that supports informed decision-making across the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS).
This is a diverse role that combines financial management with strategic business partnering. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across clinical and corporate services, identify opportunities to improve performance, contribute to service planning, and help ensure resources are used effectively to deliver exceptional healthcare outcomes.
If you're analytical, commercially minded and enjoy building strong relationships while making a genuine difference, this is an opportunity to contribute to an organisation where your work has a direct impact on the health and wellbeing of Western Australia's children.
Key responsibilities for the position include:
- Partner with Executive Directors, Directors and senior leaders to provide expert financial and business advice.
- Develop, manage and monitor operational and capital budgets.
- Prepare business plans, business cases and funding submissions to support service improvements.
- Analyse financial, operational and activity performance and provide meaningful insights to inform decision-making.
- Develop financial forecasts, performance reports and management information that support strategic planning.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across clinical and corporate portfolios.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, business processes and organisational efficiency.
- Contribute to the delivery of sustainable, high-quality healthcare through effective financial stewardship and business partnering.
